My Own Domain, My Own SSL Certificate, SECUTIX CDN
Asyour own domain, managing your own SSL certificate with SECUTIX managing your CDN, please follow the steps outlined below.
Pre-requistes:
Before you start, there are two separate tasks you need to complete:
Create a CNAME record in your DNS
Make sure you have created a CNAME record in your DNS to point your hostname to the SECUTIX service. The exact CNAME value you need will be provided on the page where you create your Point of Sale.
After obtaining the CNAME value, please ask your technical or IT team to update your DNS with the following:
---
Please modify the following CNAME in the DNS of your domain:
New_desired_hostname IN CNAME Institution_Code-xxxxxxxxx.shop.secutix.com.
Important: Don’t forget to include the trailing dot at the end of both the hostname and the CNAME value.
---
For example:
New_desired_hostname: ticketing.museemosa.fr.
Institution_Code-xxxxxxxxx.shop.secutix.com.: mosa-634742279.shop.secutix.com
So…
ticketing.museemosa.fr. IN CNAME mosa-634742279.shop.secutix.com.
Upload your SSL certificate to S-360
A .key file contains the private key needed for an SSL certificate. To complete your SSL setup, you’ll need to use this file along with your certificate file (usually a .crt or .pem file), and sometimes an intermediate certificate from the Certificate Authority (CA). Here are the general steps to configure your SSL certificate using a .key file:
1. Prepare Your SSL Certificate Files
Make sure you have the following files ready:
Internal name - give your certificate a name (any name you like).
Private Key (.key) – This file holds your private key.
Certificate File (.crt or .pem) – This is your actual SSL/TLS certificate.
Intermediate Certificates (if applicable) – These help browsers trust your certificate by linking it to a trusted root certificate.
2. Combine Files (if needed)
If your certificate and intermediate certificates are in separate files, you may need to combine them into a single file in the following order:
Private Key (.key) - keep your private key secure. It is essential for the protection of your SSL certificate.
Certificate File (.crt or .pem)
Intermediate Certificates (from server to root, if applicable)
3. Configure the SSL Certificate in the Back Office
Go to Institution > Tools > Certificates in the Back Office.
Click Create a new certificate.
Choose "SSL" as the certificate type.
Upload your files:
Internal name → give your certificate a name (any name you like)
Certificate → Your SSL certificate file (.crt or .pem)
Certificate Key → Your private key file (.key)
Certificate Chain → Any intermediate certificates (if applicable)
Once uploaded, the system will try to automatically detect the certificate's expiration date. If it cannot, you will be prompted to enter it manually.
Process to activate your new Point of Sale
Once the above is complete:
While selecting your new Point of Sale, choose “CDN Management”.
Then make sure “Use uploaded certificate” is selected under the SSL section and select OK.
Allow up to 24 hours for the process to complete.
During this time, a loading icon will appear next to your Point of Sale.
Once the process is finished, a green checkmark will appear.
When you see the green checkmark, your new Point of Sale is ready to be activated.
