Self-exchange for package content
RELEASED IN V1.6 Already offering self-exchange for single entries or passes? Your customers can now also use self-exchange for those same products even if they are part of a package.
Solution
Online exchange for packages introduces a dedicated exchange configuration parameter at the package level. This configuration along with the configuration at product and tariff level allows fans to autonomously exchange their single entries or passes bought as part of a package for another product, date/time, seat or tariff.
Getting started
The product families supported for package content self-exchange are the same than those currently supported for simple product self-exchange, i.e., single entries (event, competition) and passes (visit pass, timeslot pass).
In the configuration of a package, there is a new Online exchange section in the Parameters tab of the General page.
This section allows you to define what type of exchange is authorized for the product within the package:
Tariff: Allow customers to switch between different tariffs within the same product, e.g., child to adult or standard to premium).
Seat: Allow customers to change their assigned seat for a specific match/performance.
Date/time: Allow customers to switch to another match/performance of a given competition/event or to another timeslot of a given timeslot/visit pass.
Product: Allow the customer to exchange its current product to an entirely different product.
Deadline: Limit the self-exchange capability to apply only up to a certain date/time before the performance, match or visit.
The package-level exchange parameters will further restrict the exchange options defined in the point of sales. They do not expand permissions beyond the poiconfiguration.
For a product within a package to be self-exchanged, the product itself must available for self-exchange.
For tariff self-exchange for a product within a package, the self-exchange must be enabled at the tariff level.
